Duality. That’s the word I’d use to describe my collection.
At first I started thinking of it as an adjective to describe women, they want to be sexy but quiet serious, they want to be loud and quiet, they want to show some skin but not too much! They want black and white, they want their skirts a bit longer but that long!
And then I followed the concept of duality towards my own persona, I want to be a fashion designer but I’m studying architecture, and you I wanted to show it by doing a mix of simple forms with a great attention to detail. Also, I did a reference to duality of me doing my own versions of the Dior collections, so I brought back the iconic bar suit and the hourglass shape in some of the dresses mixed with my own codes, more relaxed lines yet very structured.
The first part of the collecion (the first twelve designs) are “half-n-half”, leather needle lace panels over leaf crepe in basic colors like black, white, red, blue, yellow and gold. For the day time coats I decided to glimpse a bit of my very first collections as a “child of fashion” I was very into fur, so now I did a redux version of some of my very first designs (a reference in the duality of past and future).
I played a lot with all the possible meanings of duality for evening, but specially the male/female part of it, normally I’d only do ball gowns, these time I bet on tuxedos and coats as part of the variety of selection for evening wear.
As for the accessories and the styling of my croquis, I chose to do a headwear that it’s both, romantic and very futuristic, like a crown for a queen in a galaxy far far away. It’s supposed to be made out of gold, very light of course.
The hair was a bit more difficult, so i decided to do it very simple, just straighten back and loose. Which it’s very serious but it has a certain freedom.
I decided to include the plus size croquis not just as the concept of duality, I did them because woman don’t just come in one size and shape, they come in very marvelous different combinations. And I want to celebrate that!
As an extra fact for this collection I’ll only add that my this is my 2nd year with my blog, which makes me very happy, and my 22 nd birthday it’s on Sunday. So yeah… The theme was quite obvious for me to choose.

Dualidad. Esa es la palabra que usaria para describir mi colección.
Al principio empece pensandola como un adjetivo para describir a la mujer, ellas quieren ser sexy pero al mismo tiempo quieren ser reservadas, quieren hacerse notar pero también quieren ser silenciosas, quieren enseñar algo de piel, PERO NO TANTA! Ellas quieren blanco y negro, quieren faldas un poco mas largas, pero no tan largas!
Y después seguí el concepto de dualidad hacia mi propia persona, quiero ser un diseñador de modas pero estoy estudiando arquitectura y lo quise demostrar haciendo una mezcla de formas simples con una gran atencion al detalle. Además, me hice una referencia a la dualidad de yo haciendo mis propias versiones de las colecciones de Dior, por lo que traje de regreso el iconico saco “Bar” y la siluheta reloj de arena en algunos de los vestidos mezclados con mis propios códigos, líneas más relajadas pero muy estructuradas.
La primera parte de la collecion (los doce primeros diseños) son “mitad y mitad”, paneles de encaje de aguja hecho de cuero sobre crepe en colores básicos como el negro, blanco, rojo, azul, amarillo y dorado. Para los abrigos del la seccion de día, decidí vislumbrar un poco de mis primeras colecciones como un “niño de la moda” Estaba muy metido en la piel, por lo que ahora que hice una versión redux de algunos de mis primeros diseños (una referencia en la dualidad de pasado y futuro).
Jugué mucho con todos los posibles significados de la dualidad de la noche, pero sobre todo la parte masculina / femenina de la misma, que normalmente sólo haría vestidos de fiesta, esta vez apuesto por smokings y abrigos como parte de la variedad de la selección para la noche.
En cuanto a los accesorios y el estilo de mis croquis, he optado por hacer una sombrerería que es a la vez, romántico y muy futurista, como una corona de una reina en una galaxia muy, muy lejana. Se supone que debe ser hecha de oro, muy ligero, por supuesto.
El pelo era un poco más difícil, así que decidí hacerlo muy simple, sólo alisarlo y dejarlo suelto. Lo cual es muy severo, pero tiene una cierta libertad.
Como dato adicional para esta colección sólo voy a añadir que mi este es mi segundo año con mi blog, lo que me hace muy feliz, y mi cumpleaños 22 ª es el domingo. Así que sí … El tema era bastante obvio para mí elegir.
