Today I felt the heavy weight that it’s to be in fashion. And not because I’m in fashion, but because I’M NOT AND I WANT TO.
It’s so very difficult to be noticed in Fashion, famous bloggers only blog about big brands, infamous bloggers only care about being famous and therefore only post big designers. And the rest, the rest of the so called “fashion bloggers” do streetstyle and they only post McQueen (because of GaGa), Mugler (because of GaGa), John Galliano (because of the scandal), and Karl (because of Karl).
Where’s the “support”?
Lady GaGa did a call on littlemonster.com for us (little monsters) to upload our designs and so she’ll wear one. I really don’t want to offend her, but she liked copies of famous designers just with a few thing changed, there’re a lot of Atelier Versaces and Armanis, she also liked unwearable, and I MEAN UNWEARABLE designs, the “famous” little monsters also got a lot of likes because they’re famous.
SO I STARTED TO WONDER… WHO REALLY KNOWS ABOUT FASHION?
I really hate living in Mexico, it’s so difficult to be noticed as a designer because no one supports local talent, and it’s such a shame.
If I was wealthy enough, I’ll do a foundation to help aspiring fashion designers reach their goals, and it’ll be a serious thing, not a TV reality show.
YES, I’m mad but not just for myself, but because of all the unseen talent.
